Regional Development Centre

Attention U15-U17 male and female junior tide teams!  The Regional Development Centre will kick off this September with some excellent coaches involved.  The sessions will run Saturday mornings at PISE and will give players the opportunity to have supplemental skills training.

Information

Highlights

·      Supplemental club training for motivated boys and girls, in a high performance rugby environment

·      Participants follow an official BC Rugby training curriculum

·      All sessions developed and delivered by Regional Coaches and BC Rugby Provincial Coaches

·      Incorporates challenging games based, skill and technique training

Connected to the BCRU CDI Academy network to provide greater exposure and opportunities

Structure
·      Five month program, two phases – September through February for a total of 16 weeks·      Boys and Girls from U-14 (2002) to U-17 (1999)

·      120 minute training sessions

Eligibility:

·      Players must have played at least one season of school or club rugby

·      All Players will be assessed during the first session to determine ability

·      Players will be grouped on ability, age and progress and may be moved to different groups at staff discretion

Location

All training sessions will take place at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence located at Camosun College Interurban Campus (Alex Campbell Field) in Victoria. Click here for a printable map: Campus Map and Parking
